My husband and I and another couple stayed at the Prince Hanoi in Bat Su Street Hanoi and would recommend this hotel to anyone.
We booked it ourselves over the net and could not have been more pleased with the location, quality or price.
We had booked an airport pick up from another company and was taken to the Prince Hanoi 1 in a differnt Street at night just after a very long day.
The young girl had no booking for us (wrong place!!) but she contacted the Prince 2 and the young guy whizzed over on a motorbike. He did indicate at one stage that he would transport us on the bike. (We are a bit on the large size with heaps of luggage). We did decline the offer.
The young girl said that we could walk to our hotel. We took one look outside and the chaos of motorbikes, cyclos, pushbikes and millions of people made us decline that offer too.
Finally they ordered us 2 taxis to take us. The trip in the taxi was an experience in itself.
We arrived at the Price 2 Hanoi, we were booked in and at our rooms in no time. The room was small (to our standards) but very clean and homely.
Breakfast was simple but always hit the spot. We didn\'t like the coffee in Vietnam but we had taken some Nescafe from home and asked for boiled water. They did look at us strange to start with but obliged.
Being in the old quarter was a highlight to our trip. Every night we walked down to the lake and dined. Looking back to our first night we really could haved walked from the hotel as it was not far and really safe.

Stayed in Stars Hotel from 8 May to 12 May 2006. Throughout my stay, I\\\'m impressed by the genuine warmth and friendliness of the staff. The rooms are clean and comes equipped with a/c and tv. If you want to experience vietnam, stay in the old quarters and get to see Hanoians going about their daily routine.
